When I was younger, I played an instrument. I joined the band in 5th grade and stuck with my clarinet throughout high school. The deal with my parents was, if I stuck with my instrument, I could keep it. While my clarinet is old, it still works and I can still play it. As an adult, I am slowly teaching myself how to play the piano, as well as the guitar. Self-teaching is a slow process. There will be no concerts anytime soon!
However, my love of instruments also gave me a love of a wide variety of instruments. Most people think my Ipod selection is a little crazy. It can go from Classical, to Oldies to Rock, to Hip Hop, to Top 40, to Rap... to just about almost anything. You just never know what will play next.
So, here is a collection of my Music Monday posts. As part of the blog (and partially because I find this is a great way to start off the week), I have decided to share some sort of song or video. Some of them might be what you think is normal. Others might be a little off the wall. It just depends on what is my musical driving force for the day. You will just have to see.

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are looking forward to it. I love it. It is fun to find new music to expose people to. And who knows what you might find that you will really like! :)
DeleteAwesome! I love music, too. I didn't really stick to piano or guitar after the lessons in high school and college, but I definitely appreciate them. It's more of a consequence of an interest in way too many things and something had to give. :) Fun post!
ReplyDeleteI think that is the same thing that is happening to me right now. My mind is so consumed with my writing that teaching myself an instrument seems almost impossible. I have a mad strum though going on the guitar! LOL
DeleteHi Stacy,
ReplyDeleteI'm here from Bloppy Bloggers and I'm glad I found your blog! Looks like we have the music thing in common. I'm a musician and I like this idea! Looking forward to checking it out each week.
